1st Annual Footgolf Day
Anaconda Hills Golf Course
Great Falls, Montana – Anaconda Hills Golf Course will host the 1st Annual Footgolf Day on Monday, August 29. Footgolf is a combination of the popular sports of soccer and golf. It is played with a regulation #5 soccer ball on shortened holes. It’s a great activity for families, children and adult, a pleasant change for golfers, and a great training and conditioning tool for soccer players. But most important, it’s fun. The feedback from those who have tried it for the first time has generally been, “I thought it would be fun, but it’s even better than I expected!”
There are 18 holes of Footgolf offered, all played on the front 9. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf. Play is often interspersed with golf tee times and the speed of play meshes very well with golf.
There is a special discounted rate being offered on Monday: Fees for eighteen holes are $11 for adults and $8 for youth. The fee is good for all day. There are a limited numbers of balls available to borrow, so players are encouraged to bring their own. Due to aeration, there will be no golfers on the course until mid-afternoon so Footgolf players will have the course to themselves. Tee times may not be necessary, but can be made a day in advance. Golf passes are not valid for Footgolf.
Bring the whole family for a great day before school starts. For more information or to set up a tee time call Anaconda Hills Golf Course, 406-761-8459.
